[释] to do something quickly and successfully;
[例] Mike went great guns on this project although had only been given a week.;
go green
[释] to be environmental-friendly;
[例] The factory finally went green to use paper for packaging.
go in one ear and out the other
[释] for something heard to not have any effect;
[例] It’s no use talking to him, for your word will go in one ear and out the other.;
gold digger
[释] a woman who dates or marries a wealthy man only for his money.
go halfsies
[释] to split (especially bills) equally between two parties;
[例] I knew Mike would eat and run again, so I make him go halfsies.;
go haywire
[释] to malfunction;
[例] My computer went haywire, and I have to re-install the whole system.
