今天我们来讲一些和疾病相关的词汇,并且一起看看他们在考试中的用法~
1. incubate /'ɪŋkjʊbeɪt/
a.使(病毒)潜伏;
e.g. The virus can incubate for up to ten days after the initial infection. 病毒在初次感染以后可以潜伏长达 10 天。
b.孵化;孵卵;
Condors incubate only one egg and raise one chick at a time.
注:condor 美洲秃鹫

e.g. Those above 50 and people with chronic diseases will be vaccinated against Covid-19.

e.g. Most side effects from vaccination are mild, such as soreness, swelling, or redness at the injection site.
注:side effect 副作用
mild 症状轻微的,不强烈的
