这种题型的解答方式一般都是：

1. ......是很好的或者重要的

2. ......不是的或者最重要的，因为的标准无法确定，或者......还带来一些问题，或者还有更好的或更重要的）

按照这种思路，本题的回答顺序就是：首先讨论互联网是非常重要的发明（这个比较容易，随便写几条互联网给我们生活带来的好处即可，比如方便我们查找和传递信息，拉近人与人之间的物理距离等）；

然后提出互联网也许不是最重要的发明，它只是提高了我们的工作和交流效率，没有互联网我们依旧可以生活。如果按照重要性来说，文字语言的发明也许才是人类历史上最重要的，因为只有文字语言才让人类与动物区分开来，从此真正步入人类社会。

As the Internet has become an indispensable part of our life nowadays, many people begin to believe that it is the most important invention ever made by human beings. While the Internet is without doubt one of the greatest inventions in human history, it is perhaps not the single most important one.

The Internet is a great invention in that it makes our life more convenient and our work more efficient. Before the advent of the Internet, for instance, we had to travel a few miles to the post office in order to send a letter to our friends, who then had to wait a few days to receive the letter. But now the Internet enables us to exchange information with our friends in a blink of an eye. In work situations, the Internet is even more useful because it has rendered management, production, distribution, and selling highly efficient and thus has significantly boosted the productivity of the whole society.

Yet we can hardly say that the Internet is THE most important invention in human history, if by “the most important invention” we mean one that is not only ground-breaking but also completely necessary for human beings to exist. Judged from this perspective, the Internet is perhaps not a suitable candidate for “the most important invention”, since, without the Internet, the human world would still be there just as it was in the pre-Internet age. So, instead of the Internet, I would label language as “the most important invention”, because it was the invention of language that ultimately distinguished humans from animals and made possible everything we have now in the human world.   

To conclude, the Internet is an invention as great as electricity, solar energy, and the atomic bomb, but if we have to choose “the most important invention” in human history, I would give my vote to that of language.
