In some countries, some small town-center shops are going out of business because customers are shopping at large out-of-town stores. As a result, some people without cars have limited access to shops, and there may be an increase in the use of cars. Do the disadvantages outweigh the advantages? (2022/9/17)

Introduction

In some parts of the world, a mushrooming number of consumers are prone to choose large out-of-town shopping malls ,rendering town-center stores go for a burton. Ineluctably, the use of cars is surging at an alarming rate for shops can be hardly accessible without them. Personally, the demerits brought about by such a development overwhelm its merits.

When people ,instead of shopping near homes, drive to the out-of -town supermarkets , the city will head toward more knotty traffic congestion on weekends accompanied by perishing commuting traffic on weekdays. Immediately followed is the environment deterioration for cities are likely to be subjected to gross pollution brought by more exhaust fumes emitted to the atmosphere.

Meanwhile,thanks to cheap and abundant land resources as well as lower rent in rural areas, consumers are more likely to enjoy more preferential prices.
