“two times”是“两次”，那“two-time”是什么意思？

很多人在眼看到“two-time”时 都会下意识地翻译为“两次” 其实，这是错误的！！ ▲ two times 两次 例如： I have been to China for two times. 我来中国两次了。 You can use some of the words two times. 有些单词你可以用两次。 ▲ two-time 脚踏两条船，对...不忠 ，欺骗，背叛 【相传在1924年，美国肯塔基州有个刑事案件，罪犯因“同时拥有两位性伴侣”而酿成祸事，警方称当事人“have two at a time”。后来“have two at a time”简略成two-time，用来表示那些不时沾花惹草的行为。】 例如： I ended the relationship when I found out he was two-timing me. 当我发现他脚踏两条船时就与他吹了。 Tom was two-timing on her grilfriend, so they broke up. 汤姆脚踏两条船，所以他女朋友跟他分手了。 表示“对爱情不忠，脚踏两条船的人”， 可以用 two-timer 来表示她/他 例如： He has two girlfriends and is a two-timer. 他竟然有两个女朋友，真是脚踏两只船。 ▲ lady friend 小三，情妇 例如： Women who has no money and no career are at risk of reduced to a lady friend. 没钱没事业的女人大部分都有沦为小三的危险。 No lady friend existence, who go to identify your distraction love. 没有小三的存在，谁去鉴定你们那些扯淡的爱情。 ▲ home wrecker 家庭破坏者，小三 例如： I do not appreciate your attempt to smear my reputation and paint me as the home wrecker. 我并不欣赏你试图诬蔑我的声誉、以及把我描述成一个家庭的破坏者。 She's a home wrecker. 她是个小三。 ▲ cheat on someone 背叛某人，出轨 例如： Finally you can cheat on me, huh? 你终于有机会劈腿了，哈？ He didn't feel remorseful about cheating on his wife. 他出轨但是一点内疚之心都没有。 ▲ unfaithful 不忠的 例如： You've been unfaithful and I hate you guts. 你对我不忠，我恨死你了。 Have you ever been unfaithful to your wife? 你曾对妻子有过不忠吗？
