受疫情影响，室内娱乐活动和餐厅聚会越来越少。可是人们总不能在家消极等待啊。

　　Many cities in China recently moved from the reality of a pandemic to the joyful pleasures of a picnic. Once seen as an escape from the city, a meal surrounded by trees and meadows is becoming a cultural token and a downright pleasant excursion for many families.

　　Pandemic -- A pandemic is an occurrence of a disease that affects many people over a very wide area.也可以用epidemic表示流行病、疫情。

　　Pleasures -- If something gives you pleasure, you get a feeling of happiness, satisfaction, or enjoyment from it.一般我们都会用‘it’s my pleasure’作为礼貌用语，表示愿意效劳。但是pleasure的用处往往大于这个。

　　例如：

　　1. Watching sports gave him great pleasure.

　　2. He mixed work and pleasure in a perfect and dynamic way.

       被树木和草地包围的户外野餐已成为一种文化象征

　　a cultural token and a downright pleasant excursion

　　token -- Something that is a symbol of a feeling, a fact, an event, etc.

　　token也可以作为形容词: 装样子的 -- We charge only a token fee for use of the facilities.(象征性的费用)

　　downright – 并不是在所有情况下都是强调反面或者令人不愉快的事。在这里做副词，表示彻底地、完全地，可以理解为absolutely, entirely，completely.

　　除了是一种文化象征和透彻的家庭氛围以外，“野餐文化”也成了网红。借用一位博主的话：“2020年判断潮人的标准，就看他去没去过野餐。”

　　好吧，我又离潮人远了一步。。。
