October 31st is Halloween, which is usually celebrated in western countries. 

It’s that time of year when pumpkin sales go soaring, horror specials sell out at the cinema, and everyone is seemingly dressed up as a vampire or a zombie. 

And now, in China, many young people also love this festival and will throw parties to have a blast on this day. 

Last Halloween, to add an extra festive atmosphere, my friends and I made a special and memorable dinner for the day trying to follow its food traditions. 

We found some recipes online to learn some simple but spooky dishes. 

One of the dishes was yummy biscuit cups filled with a spicy beef mixture, featuring a topping of Halloween pumpkin faces made by cheddar cheese slices. 

Apart from that, we also used crescent rolls and hot dogs to make a Halloween version of pigs in a blanket, which was an easy snack for our Halloween party. 

We also served our casserole in a pumpkin to make our meal more Halloween-like.
