之前听到好多小伙伴分享自己咳嗽太严重，咳出血了，那“咳出血”用英语该咋说呢？
cough up blood 咳血
cough sth up，指的就是咳出来什么东西，英文释义为：to make something come out of your throat or lungs when you cough。
举个例子：
Doctors were worried when she started to cough up blood.
她开始咳血，医生担心了。
不过，俚语中，cough (sth) up 还有另一种意思，勉强给予（钱或信息），英文释义为：to produce money or information unwillingly。
最常用的情况就是让某人掏钱时会说 cough it up.
举个例子：
I've just had to cough up £40 for a parking fine.
我只得掏出40英镑交停车罚款。
当然也有 cough sth out 或 cough out sth 这种说法，也有“把...咳出来”的意思，所以“把肺都咳出来”还可以说成 cough one's lungs out。
不过 cough out sth 还有另一种意思是 to say something while coughing，一边咳一边说话。
