大家都知道，“mirror”的意思是镜子，“look at”是看的意思，但是“look at the mirror”的意思不是照镜子，而是看着镜子本身，并不是看镜中的自己，大家可千万要分清，不要说错了。
照镜子”其实就是看镜子里的自己，英文可以这样表达：Look in the mirror或者Look into the mirror。

smoke and mirrors
smoke是烟，mirror是镜子，那smoke and mirrors是什么意思呢？这个表达用于形容吸引人的外表掩盖了实际上并不出色或虚假的事物，咱们可以理解为“烟雾弹；障眼法”。

mirror image
“mirror image”形容两者之间非常相似，几乎完全一致。也可以说成“spitting image”。“be the spitting/mirror image of sb”就是“长相与某人一模一样”的意思。
