托福写作之二选一
Teacher’s NOTE:
So many times, when we read the question, we just browse the words for a rather general idea and neglect the key information that distinguishes a question from another, which may be phrased in a similar way but have a different focus.
Teacher’s NOTE:
In this question, we may make the mistake of overgeneralization and misunderstand the question as a comparison between work and study. As a matter of fact, the distinguishing difference between the two options given is that Option 1 focuses on getting paid AS SOON AS POSSIBLE whereas Option 2 focuses on NOT SOON BUT MORE YEARS.
Teacher’s NOTE:
Therefore, our discussion should respond to this conflict rather than to a general idea of working or studying. The following paragraph is a good sample of responding specifically to the key point of discussion.
